Frequently Asked Questions
What advisors ask us most, from valuations and deal structures to timing and confidentiality.
SELLERS
Purchase prices typically range from 3–8x revenue for a full buyout. Long-term partnerships and minority structures can reach 10x+ in projected value over time, realized through earnouts, growth bonuses and equity. Your specific outcome depends on AUM, revenue quality, client mix, growth and deal structure.
Upfront value is paid at or near closing. Projected all-in value adds earnouts, growth bonuses, exit payments and the estimated value of any equity over the full term. The larger number arrives later and depends on future growth, so it’s worth weighing both.
